A huge hit across the pond, the musical has become a sweet treat in the West End and is on sale now! Adapted from the 2007 indie hit of the same name, the swelling score comes from singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles and includes over 20 new songs to tell the story of a small-town waitress who finds solace in baking.
Our reviewer Abigail awarded the show's West End run four stars and called it: " a loud and proud feminist dazzler, full to the brim with heartbreaking solos, hilarious performances and a good dash of sisterhood," summing up that it's "an equal mix of light and dark. It will leave you with tears in your eyes, a laugh on your lips and joy in your heart."
Casting is yet to be announced, but with stars like Blake Harrison, Jack McBrayer, Lucie Jones, Katherine McPhee and Bareilles herself making appearances in London, it looks as if the tour will attract some musical theatre favorites!
